Tipton Baptist Preschool and Daycare (TBS), a ministry of Tipton Baptist Church, exists to honor God and glorify Jesus by encouraging childlike faith that lasts a lifetime. We are dedicated to teaching biblical truths and to serve families as a source of early childhood education, based on Christian principles.

Position:

Tipton Baptist School is seeking a part time Food Service Manager to work 20 hours/week (during lunch hours). Previous food service experience is preferred. Training will be provided.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform best practices food preparation and cooking processes, serving food on time, while maintaining consistency and adherence to recipe standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Preparation of food to meet the needs of children with special needs or disabilities.
• Operates food production equipment as required to complete tasks.
• Serve food in accordance with the Child Care Food Program (CCFP) meal requirements.
• Maintain menu information and serving portion records for students, including explanations of ingredients and preparation methods.
• Maintains inventories for all necessary supplies, including food and equipment.
• Responsible for the purchasing and regular maintenance of food to ensure quality, cost control and adequate inventory.
• Oversee the processing and storage of food and food related items.
• Clears, cleans, and sanitizes workstations.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other containers and returns to an appropriate location in the kitchen area.
• Refills condiments or other supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate cooking and food preparation equipment.
• Knowledge of food preparation and storage techniques.
• Experience with CCFP requirements, or a willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, lift, reach, communicate (vision, hearing, and speech), carry or convey sufficient weight safely, and effectively carry out functions, duties, and responsibilities.
• Ability to carry out shipping and receiving duties for food service supplies.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Contractual agreement for the length of the school year.
• Continuous improvement for TBS food program, including updates for program on local and state levels.
• Current health physical with TB test results, updated every two years
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain and maintain, updated every two years
• Must successfully pass the required background checks.

Pay Rate:

• $15/hour to start; $250 signing bonus after 120 days.

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

• Tipton, PA 16684: Relocate before starting work (Required)
