Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls
- Dispatch appropriate personnel to the scene of the incident
- Monitor and track the status of field units to ensure timely responses
- Coordinate with various agencies during emergency situations
- Maintain accurate records of all calls and dispatches
- Provide necessary information to field personnel and other agencies as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong negotiation skills to handle diverse situations effectively
- Ability to analyze information quickly and make sound decisions under pressure
- Proficiency in conflict management to resolve issues calmly and efficiently
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with medical terminology for accurate communication
- Excellent phone etiquette and phone triage skills
- Ability to transcribe information accurately
- Experience with GIS (Geographic Information System) is preferred
- Strong multitasking skills

Experience:
- Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
