- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Write detailed service orders that clearly outline customer requests and technician recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure timely completion of services.
- Follow up with customers regarding their vehicle status and any additional services needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area to enhance customer experience.
- Stay informed about new products, services, and industry trends to provide knowledgeable recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service within the automotive industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on vehicle maintenance and diesel engine repair preferred.
- Proficiency in service writing and auto estimating processes.
- Excellent cash handling skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to transmit information clearly between customers and service technicians.
- Strong sales skills to promote additional services when appropriate.
- Ability to suspend tasks as needed while prioritizing customer satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in automotive technology is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
