What are the responsibilities and job description for the DC Lead position at Tireco, Inc?
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a safe and organized operating environment
- Assist manager in minimizing downtime and identifying opportunities to increase productivity
- Leads team members in daily assignments and coaches/trains team members as necessary
- Ensures processes and procedures are followed
- Audits completed picked orders making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy of order
- Acts in a professional manner always
- Works productively in an individual and team environment
- Maintains proper paperwork for accurate inventory levels
- Ensures that distribution center is clean and prepared for next shift
- Performs all distribution center functions to ensure daily tasks are completed in a timely, efficient manner (i.e., pull orders, replenish stock, load/unload container, etc.)
- In absence of manager, performs daily startup and assign duties to team members
- Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 2 years of distribution center operations experience
- 2 years of forklift experience
- Leadership/communication skills
- Strong math/analytical skills
- Speak, read, write English
- Basic computer knowledge
COMPETENCIES:
- Time management
- Ability to follow written/verbal instruction
- Read and understand all laws and policies as set forth by Tireco
- Safely operates a forklift in a distribution center environment
