Job Description
As a Deli Department Clerk, you are responsible for ensuring that our deli offers a quick, accurate, and pleasant experience to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Greet each customer in a friendly, welcoming manner.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Prepare items on station assignment list.
- Slice deli meats and cheeses and prepare food items (sandwiches, etc.).
- Stock and rotate products, stock supplies and paper goods in a timely basis; keep all utensils stocked.
- Maintain clean, sanitary workstation.
Experience/Skills: Previous Deli experience, Food prep and/or cooking
Individuals applying for this position should possess the following characteristics:
- Must be 18 years (or older).
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to customer service.
- Self-motivated and willing to learn.
- Able to receive and follow instructions.
- Able to complete tasks accurately and quickly.
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to take initiative.
- Must be capable of providing and modeling exceptional customer service.
- Must possess excellent communication skills in order to communicate effectively with customers, store leadership, and fellow-team members.
- Must have the physical ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, bend and stoop to grasp objects, frequently push and pull up to 50 lbs., frequently lift 20 lbs., and occasionally lift 40 lbs.
Schedule:
- Weekend availability required.
- Morning, Daytime, Evening, Weekday, Weekend.
- Variety of hours per week available
- Availability to work holidays.
