We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to join our nutraceutical manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring tablet compression machines and encapsulation machines to produce high-quality dietary supplements and nutraceutical products. This role requires strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and FDA regulations to ensure product safety and efficacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation & Monitoring:
- Operate tablet compression and encapsulation machines to produce nutraceutical tablets and capsules.
- Monitor compression and encapsulation parameters such as weight, thickness, and visual appearance to maintain product quality.
- Ensure correct tooling (punches and dies) is used according to batch requirements.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Perform in-process quality checks to ensure compliance with product specifications.
- Inspect tablets for weight, appearance, and uniformity.
- Adhere to GMP, FDA, and company quality control standards throughout the production process.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate batch records, and machine logbooks.
- Document machine settings, adjustments, and any deviations from standard procedures.
Safety & Housekeeping:
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
- Dispose of waste materials according to environmental and safety regulations.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience operating tablet compression machines and/or encapsulation machines in a nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food industry.
- Knowledge of SOPs, GMP, FDA, and NSF guidelines for nutraceutical manufacturing (Preferred).
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
- Willingness to work 10-hour shifts, including weekends, if required.
