Summary of the Position:
The Strategy Group is looking for an Associate or Senior Associate who will be responsible for developing the future vision of Tishman Speyer’s business with senior management across all of Tishman Speyer’s global strategic initiatives, including acquisitions and development, capital raising, portfolio management, asset management, and property management. Examples of such initiatives have previously included: defining capital raising strategy; redesigning asset operations across global portfolio; and investment in real estate technology and innovative ventures. Individuals within the Strategy Group will have the opportunity to grow to either lead corporate-wide initiatives (i.e., Studio, Zo) or go into a real estate role (i.e., acquisitions, development, leasing, asset management, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of Tishman Speyer’s business, its regional operations, and global real estate markets (including competitor dynamics, differing operating models, and other general trends)
- Implement and execute strategic initiatives across Tishman Speyer’s organization
- Collaborate with a broad range of regions, departments, and senior executives to drive corporate strategy and innovation activities and initiatives
- Support and drive conceptual problem solving with senior management to identify and resolve business challenges across Tishman Speyer’s global portfolio and business lines
- Conduct rigorous analysis to understand the drivers of Tishman Speyer’s business and develop actionable insights
- Prepare written memos, reports and analyses for senior management recommending strategic actions that Tishman Speyer should pursue
What we look for:
- 2 – 5 years of experience in management consulting
- A proven record of delivering/managing/contributing to successful strategic consulting engagements
- Self-starter who has the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive strategic initiatives from the ground up and lead others
- Desire to grow to either lead a corporate-wide growth initiative or go into a real estate role (i.e., acquisitions, development, leasing, asset management, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent graduate degree a plus
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Interest in real estate; past experience not required
The base compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees. This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this particular role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer’s New York team, as we’ve considered factors specific to this geography.
