Summary of the Position :
Tishman Speyer is seeking to hire a Engineer to join our team, based in a property within our New York market. The Engineer will be responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment on all systems. The Engineer is expected to demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area (e.g., Electrical, HVAC, Piping / Plumbing, and Central Plant Operations) while being skilled in others. Engineering is responsible for maintaining health and safety standards while creating a welcoming environment for our customers (tenants), visitors, and the community.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safely operate the facility in accordance with all applicable government and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, enforce, and assess safety hazards and risks.
- Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Review monthly Service Request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems.
- Participate in incident investigations.
- Perform maintenance and monitoring reports to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, control, and fire, life and safety systems to keep building systems up to applicable standards.
- Maintain HVAC systems and equipment at optimum levels (e.g., cleaning, inspecting, and changing parts).
- Respond to tenant inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist Building Management team with emergency situations (e.g., fire alarms, chemical spills, hazardous conditions) and take appropriate actions.
- Comply with departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements :
The compensation range for this role is $46.314 -$51.46 per hour.
This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and / or licensure required of an individual in this particular role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer's New York team, as we've considered factors specific to this geography.
