Summary of the Position:
The Leasing Manager will be based at Jackson Park in Long Island City and will assist with leasing presentations, apartment walkthroughs, and the overall lead to lease process. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organized individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • This role will require an on-site presence and full availability to work on the weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, manage, engage and develop Leasing Agent(s) and Leasing Coordinator(s).
  • Work closely with Assistant General Manager and Lease Administration Manager to create and maintain a team spirited and solutions-oriented environment onsite.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Senior Director on all aspects of marketing and advertising campaigns.
  • Hire new leasing employees with approval from the General Manager.
  • Ensure leasing office is sufficiently staffed during operating hours.
  • Be an expert in residential leasing trends and market conditions.
  • Review and set rents in collaboration with Asset Management.
  • Proactively identify and communicate changes in the market which impact concessions, broker commissions, and/or pricing.
  • Effectively market, show and lease vacant luxury residential apartments.
  • Ensure inquiries are successfully tracked and converted to prospects.
  • Ensure listings are consistently posted to website, Street Easy, and other ILS’ if applicable.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the brokerage community to promote the property and stay in tune with the market.
  • Ensure there is timely communication on new applications with Lease Administration.
  • Process applications and ensure screening protocols are strictly adhered to.
  • Review and approve leases receiving an “approved” status.
  • Conduct all business in accordance with policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, New York Rent Regulation, and all other Federal and State laws.
  • Maintain a professional, yet friendly, atmosphere in the leasing office and other areas.
  • Reports any service needs to the Community Manager.
  • Make recommendations for improving the Leasing process and/or systems.
  • Develop and implement Leasing specific SOPs.
  • Professionally represents the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Real Estate Salesperson or Associate Broker License required
  • License will be held by Tishman Speyer as Broker
  • 5 years of experience in Class A residential rentals
  • Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean required
  • Must be service-centric, self-motivated, have great communication skills and personal accountability
  • Strong ability to interact successfully with potential residents
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Yardi Site Manager and Yardi CRM
  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
  • Professional demeanor and ability to diffuse difficult situations in a calm and professional manner
Additional Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Frequent walking
  • Frequent use of arms to reach, pull, and push
  • Occasionally lift and/or move 10-20 lbs.
The base compensation range for this role is $95,000 to $125,000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees. This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this particular role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer’s New York team, as we’ve considered factors specific to this geography.
