Role Overview:
The Business Process and Technology Development Manager will be responsible for developing and optimizing websites and mobile applications for both customers and employees. This role involves overseeing the technological aspects of website and app development, managing outsourcing contracts, and ensuring alignment with retail business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website and Mobile App Development: Design, develop, and optimize user-friendly websites and mobile applications for customer engagement and employee productivity.
- Technology Integration: Implement and manage technologies that enhance website and app functionality, security, and performance.
- Outsourcing Management: Identify and contract with external vendors or agencies for website and app development and related services. Manage these relationships to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Process Improvement: Develop and refine business processes related to website and app usage and technology integration to streamline operations and enhance user experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for website and app development.
- Project Management: Lead website and mobile app development projects from inception through to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Compliance: Ensure websites and apps comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in website and mobile app development and technology management, preferably within a retail or similar industry.
- Strong understanding of web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and mobile app development frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter, Swift, Kotlin).
- Experience in managing outsourcing projects and vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of retail business processes and customer experience optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and project management capabilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and retail technology solutions.
- Familiarity with data analytics and performance metrics for websites and mobile apps.
- Experience in developing cross-platform mobile applications.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) is a plus.
