Titan Ag Services, Inc. is a Farm Labor Contracting company providing labor to growers of various crops that include table grapes, bush berries, stone fruits, and other vine fruits. Established in 2016 now maintains diversified operations in Kern and Tulare County. Titan Ag Services, Inc., is searching for a self-motivated, personable, Human Resources Generalist. An ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be detail-oriented, and have experience in Ag Human Resources to contribute to our growing business.
Job Statement:
The Human Resources Generalist contributes to the success of the Human Resources Department. Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, this position will assist in maintaining and ensuring compliance with all Company, state, and OSHA regulations and related labor laws for farmworker safety. This position will assist with the implementation of services, policies, and programs through HR staff; reports to the HR manager, and assist company managers with minor HR issues.
Job Qualifications:
Candidates should be self-directed and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Some university or college-level education in human resources or a related field is preferred. Certification is a plus; however, we may consider job experience in Ag in place of educational criteria. Knowledge and expertise in compliance laws, labor laws, procedures, and regulations. Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all employees and management levels. Computer literacy with a proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is a must. Bilingual preferred, English/Spanish.
Primary Essential Duties:
- Assist HR Manager in following tasks:
o Maintain grower and sub-contracting relationships
o Overseeing safety and payroll departments
o Provide admin support for receptionist
o Communicate updates with field personnel
o Coordinate and facilitate personnel trainings and meetings
o Coordinate and conduct employee interviews
o Process employee verifications (EDD and audits)
o Verify and submit workers compensation claims
o Manage FLCE Licensing and work permits
o Manage OSHA, ACA, Aflac, & Cal-Savers programs
o Manage company claims (EEOC, CACRD, DLSE)
o Maintain employee relations
o Maintain pesticide reporting
o Report and investigate complaints and misconduct
o Maintain and develop relations with Ag agencies
o Maintain all insurance policies and renewals
o Oversee all property loss/claims/crop insurance
o Process DMV company vehicles
- All other duties assigned
