What are the responsibilities and job description for the Journeyman Electrician position at Titan Electric Group?
Titan Electric Group is now hiring for experienced Journeyman Electricians to join our team and to provide value to our clients. Journeyman Electricians will install and repair electrical components on our commercial job sites supervising a team of apprentices or other laborers
Responsibilities
• Measuring, cutting, and bending wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Maintaining tools, vehicles, and equipment and keeping parts and supplies in order
• Performing semiskilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment
• Following state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code
Qualifications: (Statements regarding minimum education and experience qualifications, required proficiencies with specialized knowledge, computer proficiencies, required certifications, etc.)
• Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid California driver’s license to operate a utility cart and other equipment
• 5 years’ experience as an Electrician (preferred) on commercial or residential construction sites
• Experience in safely operating heavy equipment such as forklift, man lift, scissors lift, etc. required
• Must be familiar with common safety rules and practices required in the electrical profession, including National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements
• Good customer service skills and the ability to work well with others a must
• Current General Electrician License in state of California (HIGHLY Preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of building codes
• Perform tests and use the results to diagnose problems
Physical Demands:
• Job requires working in all elements depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.
• Able to work 8 -10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime when required.
• Must be able to climb ladders and steep stairs, crawl, stand, stoop bend, crouch, kneel, sit, and reach • Must be able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is require.
• Must be able to work at various heights up to 120 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
• Must be able to on a routine and repetitive basis walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
• Must possess good vision (may be corrected vision) and must have the ability to see in color
Rate:
$25-$45 HOUR depending on experience and licensing
