Role Description:
This full-time position is for a Fire Life Safety ITM Foreman based in the San Diego County Area. The role entails managing daily operations for fire life safety projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, code compliance, and overall project success.
Job Duties:
- Manage fire alarm installation and repair projects, including subcontractors and labor
- Schedule all field activities, beginning with the pre-construction meeting (coordinate with sales and design personnel on completing the Pre-construction Package and Meeting Template) to schedule installation (check for permit and approved plans).
- Visit the job site regularly to push coordination of work with other trades.
- Coordinate with customers, AHJ’s, Designers, and others relevant to ensure clarification of the project.
- Work in the field to install systems along with foreman and apprentices.
- Coordinate closely with Project Manager install technicians/subcontractors, sales representatives, and general contractors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time, safely, within scope, and budget
- Manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Monitor all aspects of job safety
- EMT conduit experience
- Ability to interpret MEP drawings
Other Duties:
- Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
- Ability to travel when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience inspecting, testing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
- Experience installing and programming fire alarm systems
- Detailed knowledge of fire suppression and fire alarm systems
- Experience installing Fire Alarms, Area of Refuge, and DAS / Emergency Radio Responder Communication Systems.
- Knowledge of CFC codes, NFPA 72, NFPA 1225, CFC standards, and AHJ regulations
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure project success
