Janitor

Titan Wheel is looking to hire a janitor who will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleaning standards in the bathrooms, offices, and breakrooms within our production facility and office buildings. This position will ensure that health and safety standards are practiced, and will perform various tasks to ensure the cleanliness of the job site.

Hours: 5:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. Monday – Friday

Wage: $18.00 to $20.00 per Hour

Essential Functions

1. Vacuum offices with carpeting, sweep and mop tile, linoleum floors.
2. Sanitize and reline trash receptacles.
3. Clean and sanitize bathrooms and bathroom fixtures. Replace disposable items including toilet tissue, soap and garbage can liners.
4. Responsible for maintaining general janitorial supplies for the department and other areas. Will fill out supply cards for replacement of cleaning supplies, timely.
5. Report all malfunctions of cleaning equipment.
6. Keep a clean and safe work environment throughout all office areas.
7. Will perform other duties as assigned, which may include additional seasonal cleaning.

Qualifications

1. High school education and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
2. Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently, and be initiative-taking; exercise tact and discretion; work effectively under pressure and follow instructions.
3. Knowledge of cleaning products, materials, and cleaning machines; health and safety practices; and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
4. Ability to perform manual tasks requiring routine lifting of up to 50 lbs. or more. Operate cleaning equipment, including floor machines, automatic scrubbers, and power washers.
5. Must be able to follow instructions and a daily routine, ability to read instructions and mix chemicals; ability to work independently; some decision-making ability required.
6. Must be able to tolerate interruptions, multiple demands, workload change and volume.
7. Must be sensitive to confidential matters related to employee’s workspace; also have mindfulness regarding quality cleaning practices and health and safety requirements.
