Job Title: Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in Bay City, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Special Procedures/Angio/IR Tech and be proficient in working with various medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform fluoroscopic, computed tomographic (CT), ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and angiographic examinations
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and maintaining patient safety
- Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment according to manufacturer instructions and facility protocols
- Develop and implement radiation safety protocols to minimize patient and staff exposure
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Special Procedures/Angio/IR Tech
- Current certification in Interventions from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles and medical imaging modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
