Instructional Technologist

Instructional Technologist Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develops and implements professional learning and sustain improvement on the use of instructional technology.
• Support technological innovation across curriculum for students.
• Performs initial research & development, assisting with tool discovery and understanding.
• Research and reporting on market trends.
• Troubleshoots and assists with technical issues related to instructional design or instructional technology.
• Provides Tier 2 and 3 support.
• Serves as an initial escalation point.
• Plans and designs learning experiences that use instructional content.
• Evaluates and recommends academic technology tools.
• Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Instructional Technology Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• A year or more working in instructional design and/or instructional technology.
• Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives.
• Knowledge of instructional theories and design processes.
• Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
