We are hiring non-union Security Shift Supervisors to work at several commercial office building in the Chicago Loop. Must have availability to work the 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm) and/or 3rd Shift (11pm-7am) and must be available to work weekends. ***MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE MANAGING A SECURITY TEAM IN A COMMERCIAL OFFICE BUILDING!***
This is a true swing shift/you must be able to work all 3 shifts.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of Security Supervisors include but are not limited to:
• Supervise the day to day operations of an assigned Client site, including working as a security officer if needed• Manage a team of security officers, including participating in hiring, scheduling, payroll, training and development, coaching and discipline, and support.• Ensure client and employee satisfaction through building effective relationships and proactive communications and management • Complete operational procedures, including reviewing logs, shift responsibilities, patrol round information, and reporting, and update as needed• Handle escalated security issues or emergencies • Other duties as assigned.
*ONLY CANDIDATES WITH AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF CONTINUOUS SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED*
Qualifications
Required Qualifications of Security Supervisors:• Must be at least 21 years of age.• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)• 3 years of experience as a security officer or directly related position and at least 1 year of supervisory experience.• Able to acquire and maintain a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), including state accredited training requirements.• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50 lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather
Preferred Qualifications of Security Supervisors:• Bi-lingual considered a plus.
