Security Shift Supervisor Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Shift Supervisor to join our team at Titan Security in the Rockport, Indiana area.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations of assigned client sites on designated shifts.
- Report directly to Site Supervisor and/or Titan Management.
- Manage a team of security officers, including hiring, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development, and support.
- Ensure high-quality security services are provided to protect people and property.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and employees.
- Coordinate necessary support services to manage client sites effectively and meet financial and operational goals.
- Ensure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met.
- Handle escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
- Develop staff skills through performance management and provide a positive work environment.
- Resolve employee grievances and communicate effectively with staff.
- Conduct site-specific training and coordinate logistics for staff.
- Reconcile logs and review incident reports.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures and post orders.
- Communicate with clients regularly and provide security and technical expertise.
- Maintain access control procedures and utilize access control systems as needed.
- Identify tenants and visitors, ensure proper sign-in procedures, and observe departing personnel.
- Monitor security cameras and respond to incidents.
- Conduct general patrols of the property and assist tenants and visitors.
- Record data accurately and maintain clear logs.
- Provide excellent customer service and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years of prior satisfactory employment as a security officer or related experience.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver's license (as applicable).
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Bi-lingual considered a plus.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and accommodate foot patrols.
