Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Driver Manager to oversee and support our team of drivers, ensuring on-time deliveries, compliance with DOT regulations, and overall driver satisfaction. This role requires a strong communicator who can efficiently manage dispatch operations, resolve transportation challenges, and foster positive relationships between drivers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Driver Leadership & Support: Primary point of contact for assigned drivers, provide guidance and support to maximize efficiency, retention, and job satisfaction
• Dispatch & Load Coordination: Assign and monitor loads, ensure on-time deliveries while optimizing driver schedules and maintaining Hours of Service (HOS) compliance
• Shipment Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Track driver progress using McLeod TMS and Mobile Comm, proactively addressing any delays or service disruptions
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to DOT regulations, Hours of Service rules, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA)
• Customer & Operations Coordination: Work closely with customer service, load planners, and operations teams to ensure logistics and customer satisfaction
• Technology & Reporting: Update customer portals with real-time shipment statuses and generate operational reports as needed
• Problem Solving: Resolve transportation-related challenges quickly and effectively

Qualifications & Skills

✔ 2 years of experience as driver manager, dispatch, or transportation operations
✔ Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service, and FMCSA compliance
✔ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
✔ Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
✔ Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS)

✔ McLeod software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
✔ Professional phone demeanor and ability to communicate policies clearly
✔ Experience with hazardous materials shipping is a plus

• Expectations of flexibility, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Must maintain regular, reliable attendance
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
