Cincinnati area 1099 Contractor Gig 12v Installation Technician FLEXIBLE!

We are seeking an independent contractor (1099) to work on a piece-rate to install vehicle electronics and accessories into vehicles in and around the surrounding areas of this job posting. We are a completely mobile business and complete the work on our client's premises for their privacy and convenience.

Requirements:

Reliable transportation & valid driver's license.

Excellent customer service, communication skills, and professional demeanor.

Must be able to pass a background check (specifically, no DUI charges within the past 10 years. Other charges/offenses may not disqualify you.)

High attention to detail. Patience and professionalism under stress or in the face of unexpected complications.

Ability to represent the company well by interacting respectfully with clients from all socio-economic backgrounds and statuses.

Provide your own tools as an independent contractor (we can provide you with a tool list of what the owner of the company uses in his own tool bag)

Must be willing to work outside in potentially inclement weather (light rain, cold, hot, etc.).

Must be reliable, responsible, and able to catch the vision and philosophy of our brand.

An ideal candidate has...

Some sort of experience with vehicle electronics / low voltage / auto-body, or related industry (glass repair, oil change, etc.)

An understanding of electrical circuits, connections, clean wire/cable management, and testing/troubleshooting.

Experience with gig work and piece-rate payments (1099, rideshare, delivery, etc.)

Systems we install:

Fleet Electronics (dashcameras, GPS trackers, telematics systems, backup cameras)

Remote starter systems

DUI Ignition Interlock devices

Schedule and support:

We are flexible and handle all of your scheduling for you. You tell us when you are available and we will only book jobs during that time window. We are able to accommodate your reasonable scheduling requests (e.g. start after 12pm each day, no Sundays, only Mon Wed Fri, be done by 4pm, etc.) We have some technicians who are in college and only start working with us after a certain time each day. We want this to be a resilient, long-term, mutually-beneficial relationship for all.

We provide specific training on each product and in-person training as needed. We have recorded videos of example installations and also have access to easily-readable wire diagrams for each vehicle type.

Pay and pay schedule:

You can expect to make in the ballpark of $50-$100 per hour - primarily depending on your work ethic and experience.

Most of our technicians are generating about $60-$110 per hour, depending on the type of work we send them.

For interlock and remote start systems, you will be paid within 5 days of completing the work.

For fleet telematics installations, it is more dependent on what deal we negotiate with our clients. But we are generally able to pay our technicians within 15 days of the job being completed.
