What are the responsibilities and job description for the SHIFT SUPERVISOR position at Tito’s Burritos & Wings?
A shift supervisor is focused primarily on assisting the management team with employee supervision, restaurant operations and guest satisfaction on their assigned shifts. In this non exempt hourly position, we look for people with a passion for exciting & delighting our guests, serving perfect food, demonstrating pride in a job well done and having a team focused, positive attitude. The ideal candidate for this position would be well respected among their peers, demonstrate good maturity and positive interpersonal skills and have a desire for additional supervisory responsibility.
Job Requirements
- Fully cross train and work effectively in all FOH and BOH positions
- Consistent demonstration of outstanding service performance
- Ability to lead by example with peers
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of food and supplies which entails lifting, and perform all functions as set forth in this position description
- Completion of food safety training certifications
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
Shift Supervisor Tasks & Responsibilities
- Ability to process information through POS system
- Ability to communicate and interact with team members and guests to resolve service concerns
- Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation and process payment transactions; ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
- Accurate verification of daily line check standards
- Perform functions on the POS and computer as needed to complete the shift’s operations and end of shift paperwork; these responsibilities should only be used during shift supervisor assigned shifts
- Enforce company policies and procedures during operations and follow Tito's Burritos uniform guidelines
- Ensure adequate staffing during the shift to meet guest experience standards and labor goal requirements
- Adhere to local and state food safety guidelines
- Manage safety and sanitation guidelines for both the guest and employees during every shift; is prepared to manage emergency situations during a shift
- Adheres to proper cash handling procedures
- Manage the quality production of all food while meeting ticket time standards and minimizing food waste
- Be able to perform FOH and BOH team member tasks & responsibilities as needed
- Assist GM with purchasing and receiving products
- Shift Supervisors do not have the authority to hire, discipline or terminate team members; these are functions only performed by a General Manager
