Job : Secured Door Monitor- 2nd Floor
Position Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager or Registered Nurse, the Secured Door Monitor will assist in providing a safe and secure environment for staff and patients by monitoring entry door and unit traffic, ensuring that Infant Safety protocols are being followed.
Monitor will manage door entry with visual surveillance monitors and intercom systems. This is a shared position that may include other clerical duties.
Essential Functions
- Door surveillance
- Directing visitors to the correct location
- Answers call lights in courteous and timely manner and gets message to appropriate person.
- Answers telephone in courteous and timely manner and directs call appropriately.
- Correctly updates census board and housekeeping board regularly during shift.
- Maintains organization in nurses station for use by all staff members.
- Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.
- Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.
- Must adhere to The Infant Safety Protocols.
- Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Work Experience
Clerical experience preferred.
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire date.
