What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Full Time position at Titus Regional Medical Center?
Position Summary
Nuclear medicine technologists are trained to administer radioactive drugs, then perform nuclear imaging using specialized cameras. A nuclear medicine technologist performs nuclear imaging tests and scans to help the doctors diagnose patients. Covering both the hospital and Heart & Vascualr of Titus locations.
Essential Functions
-Under the supervision of a Cardiologist or Radiologist, performs radionuclide diagnostic studies on patients, in a timely manner.
-Timely reports information to the Cardiologist or Radiologist.
-Develops, maintains and files records of examination as needed/required.
-Performs all required quality control/assurance duties.
-Always ensures the safety of patients.
-Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.
-Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
-Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.
-Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Work Experience
-One year's experience in a radiology setting, nuclear medicine, preferred.
Education
-Registered or registry eligible with NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Board) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), a current Texas License required.
-BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 30 days of hire date.
