What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist position at Titus Regional Medical Center?
Position Summary
Nuclear medicine technologists are trained to administer radioactive drugs, then perform nuclear imaging using specialized cameras. A nuclear medicine technologist performs nuclear imaging tests and scans to help the doctors diagnose patients. Covering both the hospital and Heart & Vascualr of Titus locations.
Essential Functions
- Under the supervision of a Cardiologist or Radiologist, performs radionuclide diagnostic studies on patients, in a timely manner.
- Timely reports information to the Cardiologist or Radiologist.
- Develops, maintains and files records of examination as needed / required.
- Performs all required quality control / assurance duties.
- Always ensures the safety of patients.
- Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.
- Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.
- Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
