Position Summary:
Our Client in Southfield, MI is seeking a motivated and organized Logistics Specialist who will be responsible for providing logistics support, including order entry, routing and dispatching, and traffic coordination. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient transportation operations while maintaining strong communication with account managers, customers, and drivers.

Job Duties:
- Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system.
- Update account managers on problem loads and any actions taken; communicate with receivers and customers regarding the status of loads.
- Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure that loads arrive on time and in good condition.
- Take check calls from drivers, ensuring loads will deliver on schedule; validate all load data prior to marking loads delivered, for accounting purposes.
- Investigate product overages, shortages, and damages; complete appropriate documentation as required.
- Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads; accept or decline loads based on direction from account managers.
- Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in logistics.
- General knowledge of the transportation industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
