Position Overview:
TJ Nisbet Construction, founded in 1979, is expanding and is looking to grow our team. We have always lived by the philosophy that we are only as good as our last job. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidates as we have many upcoming projects throughout the Northwest and West Coast. We will provide tools and company truck to be successful in the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Skilled in various construction areas such as: demolition, concrete finishing, masonry, various types of framing, insulation, sealants & caulking, doors & hardware, drywall, acoustical ceilings, minor tiling or various flooring.
- Must be a skilled and knowledgeable crafts professional who is aware of the leading and latest construction techniques.
- Must be able to organize and lead a group of craft workers efficiently to obtain maximum productivity.
- Ability to oversee additional labor staff.
- May be required to put a temporary structures like scaffolding, etc.
Qualifications:
- An ideal candidate will have 2 plus years of experience in similar role in commercial construction.
- Must be able to perform all of the essential during and have physical strength, stamina, effective communication, attention to safety, teamwork, and the ability to follow instructions.
- Proficient in use of hand / power tools
- It would be helpful if the candidate can read construction documents
- Ability to learn and take direction.
- Must have a driver’s license and a clean drivers record.
- Pre-employment background check will be conducted.
