Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Truck and Trailer Admin Parts Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring the accurate handling of parts for truck and trailer repairs. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and knowledge of truck and trailer components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, including incoming and outgoing stock.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Order and restock parts as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Parts Administration:
- Process parts orders, invoices, and returns promptly and accurately.
- Verify shipment accuracy and ensure all parts are received in good condition.
- Maintain a well-organized parts storage area.
- Customer Service:
- Assist mechanics, technicians, and customers in identifying and locating required parts.
- Provide quotes, availability, and lead times for parts inquiries.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve order or delivery issues.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain up-to-date records of parts transactions and inventory adjustments.
- Prepare and distribute regular reports on inventory levels and usage trends.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to parts handling.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Coordinate with the service department to ensure timely delivery of parts for ongoing repairs.
- Support the team in identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficient inventory practices.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a parts department, preferably in the truck, trailer, or automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of truck and trailer parts and components.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lift and move parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory management or automotive parts are a plus.
Work Environment:
- Shop and office setting.
- Occasional physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
