Lake Morton Senior Living is hiring a Resident Care Coordinator, Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Resident Care Coordinator provide routine care in a manner conducive to the comfort and safety of residents in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations, and are delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties by the Charge Nurse, Assisted Living Administrator / Wellness Director or other assigned supervisory personnel to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
The following job functions have been determined to be essential to the position of an RCC/ Administrative Assistant. Because of fluctuations in workload demands, as well as tasks often overlapping, frequency ranges and percentages vary by assignment, day of week, day, evening or night shift, etc. However, low frequency and percentage or duration of time spent on a particular task may not indicate lack of importance. - Supervise, manage, evaluate and counsel staff members.
- Provides progressive disciplinary notices and recommendation to the employee assistance program
- Assists with 60 day, Annual and Merit performance evaluations.
- Direct day-to-day functions of AL staff
- Staffing/Payroll; ALF
- Prepare, and post monthly schedule for all staff, including absence tracking and approved PTO.
- Complete & maintain assignments for staff.
- Oversee and assist in covering vacancies for staffing positions when company standard (designated schedule assignments) coverage is not met
- To ensure daily hours meet the daily PPD requirements for department (060) and submit daily & weekly staff tracking reports.
- Maintain daily payroll data for applicable departments; ensure accuracy of worked hours including approved vacations, or requested PTO entered.
- To be on call daily Interacting with employees to cover daily staffing requirements.
- May assist with the input, verification, and release of billing and payroll information as well as the assembly of data for financial reporting purposes.
- Maintain & submit up to date employee phone list, attendances record log, and payroll change forms.
- Demonstrates respect, confidentiality and compassion in every interaction.
- Manage medication availability log
- re-order all mail order meds
- Fax pharmacy for refill authorizations/prior authorizations to physician
- Check logs daily for compliance
- Attend shift change with staff
- Completes Med exception reports
- Provides assistance with Med Pass
- Recognize and respond to changes in resident’s conditions and document observations, interventions and outcomes.
- Document resident changes in condition on observation log
- Monitor dining rooms during mealtime
- Effectively communicate with residents, staff, families, visitors & others and convey a sense of caring and concern
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of records, conditions and other information regarding residents, employees and facility
- Monitoring radio transmissions, participate & promote teamwork
- Assist with rounds with visiting doctors
- Encourage an atmosphere of optimism, warmth and interest in residents’ personal and healthcare needs.
- New admissions/ assist licensed nurse with noting orders on MORS
- Inventory and request equipment, supplies, etc.
- All other duties assigned by AL Administrator
As an essential function of the job, RCC/ AL Administrative Assistants are regularly called on to effectively report emergencies such as residents’ condition changes, as well as accidents and incidents, complaints and grievances by residents and their families, etc. It is determined that RCC/ AL Administrative Assistants can communicate with others and do not pose a direct threat to the safety or health of self or others.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
In the interest of residents/patients, RCC/ AL Administrative Assistants will have the preferred minimum educational background of having a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
CERTIFICATION
Employees will have successfully completed an approved Med Tech training course and be certified in this state. Core training, CPR, First Aid and Continuing Education Units certifications also required.
EXPERIENCE
RCC/ AL Administrative Assistants will have six months experience working in a nursing home, hospital, home health agency, or other health care facility.
