Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in surgical operations and ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients undergoing procedures.
Duties
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures to prevent infections
- Monitor and anticipate the needs of surgeons during operations
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis
- Provide post-operative care to patients, including wound dressing and monitoring vital signs
Requirements
- Proficiency in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile field during surgeries
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting, preferably with pediatric experience
- Understanding of infection control protocols
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems like Epic is preferred
- Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care

Pay: $70.66 - $80.00 per hour
