Job Overview
As a Registered Nurse specializing in Endoscopy, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within a medical facility. Duties
- Perform pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures
- Monitor patients during procedures and assist the medical team as needed
- Administer medications and IV sedation as prescribed by physicians
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care instructions
Experience
The ideal candidate for this role should possess:
- Experience in a teaching hospital or critical care transport is advantageous
- Knowledge of working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization, medical imaging, occupational health, and specimen collection processing
- Proficiency in performing procedures such as spinal taps and providing home community care
