Overview
We are seeking a skilled CVOR Surgical First Assistant to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, and emergency medicine, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team before, during, and after surgery
- Provide aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions
- Perform tissue dissection, suturing, and wound closure under the direction of the surgeon
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
Skills
- Proficient Open heart cases
- Proficient harvesting veins
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Experience in hospital medicine, or acute care settings
- Ability to suture effectively and assist with wound closure
- Strong understanding of infection control practices
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $2,700.00 - $3,100.00 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed
