Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for examining cellular samples to detect early signs of disease, cancer, and other abnormalities. This role plays a crucial part in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform microscopic examination of cell samples for abnormalities
- Identify cancerous and precancerous cells
- Utilize laboratory techniques such as immunoassays and PCR for analysis
- Maintain accurate records using laboratory information management systems
- Assist in clinical laboratory procedures including specimen collection processing
- Monitor vital signs during specimen collection
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate results
- Contribute to laboratory management by adhering to quality control standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or related field
- Certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) required
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures and specimen processing
- Experience with phlebotomy is a plus
- Strong knowledge of cytological principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $2,232.00 - $2,500.00 per week
