What you’ll do
The leader of the agile technical domain architecture is responsible for establishing the IT portfolio’s technology vision, strategy, and roadmap. It does so by continuously balancing emerging designs with intentional architecture, and by managing risks in response to the business and IT needs. The technical domains in scope are: infrastructure, integration, information, application, and security.
As the AVP of Technology Domain Architecture, your core responsibilities will include:
- Align Business and Technical Strategies: Act as a key player in connecting technology trends with business opportunities, ensuring the organization can innovate and adapt to changes.
- Establish Enterprise Guardrails - Coordinate and develop standards and architectures for system and data security, quality, production infrastructure, and Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs)
- Establish Portfolio Architecture: Lead large-scale architectural initiatives, maintain the architectural runway, and balance intentional architecture with emergent design.
- Rationalize Technology Portfolio: Streamline the application and technology portfolio to enhance efficiency, reduce complexity, and lower total cost of ownership.
- Foster Innovation: Support decentralized decision-making in architecture while maintaining solution integrity and evolving architectural standards and patterns.
- Guide the technical design: Ensure solutions developed by Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and Solution Trains meet organizational standards.
- Partner with System Architects/Lead Engineers and Solution Architects (including Product/Platform Security Architects) to ensure alignment with current and future business needs.
What you’ll need (Minimum Qualifications)
We seek creative, customer-focused individuals with technical expertise and a mindset for continuous improvement. We rethink how architecture delivers value by providing hands-on leadership and contributions while embracing agile principles.
- Experience: 8-12 years of experience managing teams. Proven track record as an Enterprise Architect in a large organization, with experience in guiding Agile Release Trains and Solution Trains.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Cloud, Big Data, AI technologies, and their strategic application in business.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor teams and enhance overall capabilities.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to articulate the technical vision and strategy to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with teammates, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with technical teams, for example Product Development team and Infrastructure team.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as TOGAF or similar architectural frameworks.- Innovation: Demonstrated ability to leverage emerging technologies for business advantage.
- Agile Mindset: Familiarity with SAFe or other Agile frameworks, and a strong belief in Lean-Agile principles.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align architectural plans with business goals.

This position has a starting salary range of $167,200 to $217,400 per year.
Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
