Product Manager manages the collaboration between Product, Sourcing and Design groups to execute successful programs or categories based on merchant voids/vision and ensures quality and trend right product is shipped in a timely manner.  This position supports the Mens Cut-n-Sew and Wovens Sportswear programs.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the daily activities within the Product Development department, ensuring standards for quality and design are met for branded and private label home product categories.  
• Maintains communication and relationships with Buyers, Peers, Staff, Agents, and Vendors.
• Collaborates with Sourcing team to ensure the execution of cost-effective product.  
• Analyses weekly sales reports to determine consumer trends and strategically plans future assortments based on the results.      
• Executes programs utilizing cross department efficiencies.  
• Travels as necessary domestically and overseas to understand market trends and the global climate, as well as perform production monitoring tasks.  
• Consistently shops all levels of stores including our own for fashion/trends/color direction and value.  
• Initiates the development process according to merchandising strategies and the time and action calendar.  
• Works closely with Manager of, Design, Sourcing and/or Senior Management to develop best strategy for placement of programs to maximize success and minimize risk.
• Drives the daily process to ensure the delivery of quality products on time.  Thinks strategically and anticipates issues and creates solutions to problems.  
• Develops strong working relationships with Agents, Vendors and Merchants.  Ensures product specifications details are clearly communicated and understood by Agents/Vendors. 
• Manages workload of direct report to ensure that the established time and action calendars are adhered to.    
• Collaborates with Merchants and all areas of Product Development.
• Monitors WIP reports with Product Development team.  Agents and Vendors to ensure on time delivery for all programs.
• Performs special projects as directed.

Who We Are Looking For: You.

• 4 plus years’ experience in Product Development or Product Management
• Degree in Business, Merchandising or equivalent work experience.
• Broad-based knowledge of Product Development including product specifications, overseas sourcing and production.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Creates a positive environment in which a diverse workforce can thrive.
• Ability to communicate conceptual design ideas, anticipate trend and have a general fashion sense.
• Domestic and international travel experience
• PC skills including, Microsoft Office and PLM
• Strong organizational and follow through skills, detail oriented.
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Strong analytical skills; able to study and manipulate data within a spreadsheet.
• Highly developed strategic retail merchandising
• Demonstrates expertise in their functional area
• Knowledge of product testing standards and protocols
