TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager in Byhalia, MS.
The position will be responsible for operating, developing and improving the
internal and external logistics processes that deliver cost effective service
that consistently meet company and customer needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for all aspects related to managing and streamlining efficient Inbound Logistics processes importing from various countries.
- Develop and implement shipping / receiving planning and tracking processes and tools
- Generate & maintain routing guides for all suppliers
- Identify, engage and manage ocean carriers, booking, freight forwarding, customs entries, trans-loading and local deliveries.
- Establish freight audit procedures
- Work with manufacturing and external customers to develop and implement improvements to elevator and parts packaging
- Optimize inbound and outbound transportation operations to provide the best service at the best cost
- Lead ongoing efforts to optimize inventories based on forecast accuracy and
manufacturing efficiencies
