Job Title: Correctional Mental Health Specialist

Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention
  • Evaluate inmates for suicide intervention and prevention
  • Coordinate inmate care with facility staff and medical personnel
  • Provide substance abuse counseling
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Promote linkages with community mental health agencies

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in social work, clinical psychology, or related field
  • Licensure as a LPC, LCSW, LADC, or LMFT required
