As a licensed mental health counselor, you will play a vital role in assessing, evaluating, and coordinating mental health care for inmates.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in social work, clinical psychology, psychiatric nursing or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and/or experience. A license as a Social Worker, Marriage/Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor is required.
- Assess and manage psychiatric emergencies, including crisis intervention.
- Evaluate inmates for suicidal tendencies and develop prevention strategies.
- Coordinate care with facility and medical staff to address inmates' special needs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for inmates requiring intensive behavior management.
