Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Utilization Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Utilization Manager. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care by utilizing the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work closely with patients, medical staff, and interdisciplinary team members while upholding the highest standards of professional nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories and current health status.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and established nursing standards.
Regularly evaluate and update care plans to reflect changes in the patient’s condition.
Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding patient needs and treatment plans.
Collaborate with nursing staff and the broader healthcare team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Administer medications per policy, monitor responses, and document accurately.
Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in all aspects of patient care.
Transcribe and execute physician orders in compliance with policies and procedures.
Provide compassionate support to patients, maintaining dignity, confidentiality, and respect at all times.
Assist in the training and orientation of new team members.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Perform additional duties within scope of practice as assigned.
Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted RN license
Current CPR certification
Ability to pass a background check
Pre-employment drug screening required
Previous experience in corrections or similar settings is preferred
