Overview
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Movers to join our team. As a Mover, you will play a crucial role in assisting our clients with their relocation needs, ensuring that their belongings are handled with care and transported safely. This position requires physical stamina, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Duties
- Load and unload furniture and other items from trucks or vans, ensuring all items are secured for transport.
- Drive company vehicles along designated routes to transport goods and materials to various locations.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Assist in packing, wrapping, and labeling items for safe transport.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during the moving process.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse or moving vehicle.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in moving or warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends if necessary.
