What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jewish Music Teacher / Songleader (Early Childhood) position at Tkiya Music?
Commitment:
Summer - Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays 9:30-3:40 and 9:30-12 on Fridays
School year - TBD (fewer hours)
Compensation: Camp is paid at $100-200 per day, other work is $40-80 per hour
Location: Long Island

Tkiya is looking for an educator on Long Island to join our team. For summer, you will be representing Tkiya at a day camp working with early childhood and early elementary children three days a week in Commack, plus additional Shabbat programming in Roslyn on Friday mornings. Additional work includes preschool music, religious school music, Baby & Me, and more! Availability on High Holidays is also a must. Once we find the right candidate and confirm availability, there is lots of room to add more to this role.
Tkiya provides a lot of training and structure, so you do not need a lot of experience for this role, but rather an engaging personality and eagerness to learn. You must have some basic guitar or ukulele skills.
Tkiya creates Jewish music experiences to help people of all ages find their unique connection to Jewish culture and connection. We work primarily with families and children ages 0-5 as well as school age children, senior citizens, and more. We partner with more than 80 communities across the country including synagogues, JCCs, PJ Library, and other organizations.
