We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Per Diem Kitchen Assistants at TKL Research, Inc. in Fair Lawn, NJ.
About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting Phase 1 Operations in carrying out tasks related to controlled dietary environments for the execution of clinical studies. You will work under regular supervision from the Kitchen Assistant II and Clinical Research Coordinator for assigned studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and service of meals and snacks in accordance with clinical study protocols and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of food preparation, inventory, and waste disposal
- Ensure adherence to proper food handling and storage practices
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to achieve smooth meal service operations
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience in food service/food preparation environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Able to read and understand study instructions, dietary and meal preparation instructions, protocols, and procedures
- Ability to maintain subject confidentiality when provided with personal information
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift varied sizes and weights of containers, and handle manual dexterity in tight spaces
