Job Title: Maintenance Tech

1st and 2nd shift
Job Outline:
Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment within and on the grounds of the facility. The technician must adhere to all applicable regulations, safety guidelines, and corporate policies in performing the essential duties outlined below.
Essential Job Duties:
- Conduct routine checks on company facilities to ensure proper functioning.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on facilities to mitigate major damage and downtime.
- Diagnose, repair, or replace worn parts in machinery and equipment.
- Maintain safety standards during the performance of duties to ensure a safe work environment.
- Ensure that facility areas and work environments are free from hazardous objects and substances.
- Assist in supervising external technicians or subcontractors as required.
- Collaborate with external technicians/subcontractors on larger maintenance projects.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets for facility installations or maintenance.
- Keep accurate records of work activities, including procurement and maintenance costs.
- Submit regular reports to the Maintenance Supervisor on work activities and progress.
- Assist in the movement of materials and labor for projects as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and compliance with CEW quality systems.
- Be available for emergency call-ins to address unforeseen maintenance issues.
- Perform additional duties or projects as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of an apprenticeship under a professional maintenance technician is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance required.
- Experience with technology maintenance is essential.
- 2 years of previous experience in the maintenance field preferred; experience with injection molding is desired.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to attend training sessions as required to enhance skills.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Thorough knowledge of facility equipment, usage, and safety procedures.
- Ability to independently manage time and responsibilities.
- Must have a flexible work schedule to accommodate varying needs.
