Job description
Our client in Tupelo, MS is looking for a Diesel Mechanic. Pay is $17-23hr Mon-Fri 7am-5 : 30pm some Saturdays working 7am-12pm.
Requirements :
- The ideal candidate will be people-oriented with a professional & positive attitude, able to learn and undertake a variety of tasks, as well as answer phones and complete data entry in our computer system.
- This person must be comfortable working around truck drivers and mechanics personnel in a shop setting.
- This person will work directly with the shop supervisor.
- Some mechanical, technical, parts knowledge is preferred. Basic computer skills required. Organizational skills a must.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines.
- Inspect and test engine components.
- Install, repair, and maintain wiring systems.
- Repair or replace damaged or defective parts.
- Use tools such as torque wrenches, engine analyzers, and cleaning solvents.
- Install and repair hydraulic systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines.
