Job Title :  Procurement Forester

Reports To :  Procurement Manager / Forest Operations Manager

Department :  Forestry Operations

Location : White Hall, Arkansas

Job Overview :

The Procurement Forester is responsible for sourcing, planning, and managing timber and other forest resources to meet production needs. This role involves working with landowners, contractors, and suppliers to establish long-term, sustainable supply chains. The Procurement Forester will monitor forest health, oversee harvesting activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and support sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

Resource Planning and Acquisition

Identify and assess forest areas for sustainable timber harvesting.

• Negotiate contracts with landowners and suppliers to secure raw materials.
• Develop and maintain relationships with private landowners, timber brokers, and contractors.

Harvesting and Operational Management

Coordinate and oversee timber harvesting activities, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Supply Chain and Logistics

Manage logistics for transporting timber from forests to processing facilities.

Sustainability and Compliance

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal forestry regulations.

Data Management and Reporting

Track and report on procurement activities, including harvest volumes, costs, and sustainability metrics.
