Key Accountabilities

Litigation
- Assist with document review, ensuring all relevant information is accurately captured and organized.
- Draft pre-action documents and correspondence, maintaining a high degree of professionalism and attention to legal standards.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparations and present findings clearly to attorneys.
- Liaise with the business to gather information, ensuring all necessary data is obtained promptly and efficiently.
- Manage case files, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and deadlines are met.
Compliance/Data Privacy
- Draft and review policy documents to ensure they comply with current laws and regulations.
- Coordinate training sessions with the business and external counsel, ensuring all staff are aware of compliance requirements.
- Research and summarize laws and regulations related to data privacy and security, providing clear guidance to the team.
- Complete regulatory filings accurately and on time, maintaining detailed records of submissions.
- Monitor ongoing compliance with data security and protection laws, implementing updates as necessary.
- Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure adherence to compliance protocols, documenting findings and recommending improvements.
Wider Team
- Provide support to other paralegals or lawyers when required, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Handle ad hoc administrative support, such as processing invoices, scheduling meetings, and maintaining a shared database of legal documents.
- Participate in team meetings, offering insights and updates on ongoing projects and tasks.
