Cost Tracking and Allocation:
· Accurately record and track costs related to specific jobs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
· Allocate costs to individual projects or job codes.
· Maintain detailed records of job costs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Cost Analysis and Reporting:
· Analyze job cost data to identify cost variances and trends.
· Prepare reports and summaries of job costs, providing insights into project profitability and cost performance.
· Compare actual costs to budgeted costs, highlighting any discrepancies.
Cost Control and Budget Management:
· Assist in the development and implementation of cost control measures.
· Monitor project budgets and track spending against budget.
· Identify potential cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
Data Management and Accuracy:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date job cost records in accounting systems.
· Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all cost-related activities.
Collaboration and Communication:
· Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to gather and analyze cost data.
· Communicate cost information clearly and concisely to relevant parties.
· Support management with other accounting projects as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Associate Degree in Accounting
· Previous experience in cost accounting, job costing, or a related field is beneficial
· Spanish Bi-lingual a Plus
· Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
· Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, etc.)
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
· Previous experience in an administrative or operations support role would be a plus
Salary : $40,000 - $55,000
