What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adolescent Program Support Worker position at TLC Child and Family Services?
Responsibilities
- Supervise and protect children individually and in groups at all times, including sleeping hours
- Assist each youth in working with a group and handling individual problems
- Administer discipline and set limits for behavior
- Note the youth's progress, including identification of the possible need for professional services and communication of such findings to professional staff
- Awake Overnight Counselors are responsible for these duties during sleeping hours
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to drive and transport youth, with acceptable driving record and valid California driver's license
- Obtain and maintain fingerprint, government and agency required background clearances, without additional exemptions
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screen
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
