Outpatient Clinician

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, this position provides Specialty Mental Health Services including therapy and case management services to children, youth, and their families. The outpatient services clinician provides services in a variety of settings including TLC offices, client homes and community settings.

Essential Functions:

• Evaluate and assess clients' mental condition based on a review of client information, interviews, and observation.
• Perform clinical assessments utilizing the CANS (Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths) tool and develop treatment plans.
• Implement and deliver services with an emphasis on individual or family therapy, rehabilitation services, and case management.
• Establish positive relationships with clients guided by therapeutic guidelines, rooted in trauma-informed practices.
• Maintain clinical practices according to the agency’s policies and procedures, national accreditation standards of care, state regulations and contracts.
• Document all services in compliance with Medi-Cal billing requirements in a timely manner using the agency's Electronic Health Records system.

Skills:

• Dedication, commitment and skills in developing and maintaining a therapeutic alliance with clients.
• Able to be flexible in scheduling to address a variety of agency and client needs.
• Familiarity with SmartCare/Streamline charting system preferred.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Clinical Counseling is required.
• Registered or Licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences and in good standing is required.
• Obtain and maintain fingerprint, government and agency required background clearances, without additional exemptions.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screen.
• Valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and auto insurance showing employee as an insured driver on the policy.

Wage Range: $70,720 - $86,619 depending on years of experience and licensure status. The salary range for this role may vary above and below the posted range, as determined by experience and licensure. Compensation takes into account several factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
