Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to assist Teachers to support our program in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing creative play & educational activities, managing classroom behavior, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages children's growth and development. This role is crucial in helping to create an engaging and supportive educational experience for Young School-age, preschool, toddler & Infant-aged children.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily curriculum activities that promote literacy education and overall child development.
- Support classroom management by helping to maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all students.
- Engage with children during activities, providing guidance and encouragement to enhance their learning experiences.
- Help with behavior management strategies to ensure a positive learning environment.
- Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety while promoting social interactions.
- Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources for lessons.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings as needed to discuss student progress and development.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
Requirements
- Previous experience in childcare is a plus, but not required for Teacher's Aide's. We will guide / train you. Teachers must have experience in a Licensed Program.
- Strong understanding of Infant & toddler care practices and early childhood.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while promoting an engaging learning environment (Training provided on DHS Expectations).
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating young children.
- Must be able to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

- Background in behavior management techniques to support diverse learners.
- Experience or training in literacy education and math instruction is a plus.
- Understanding of Montessori principles is beneficial but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
