Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing safe and reliable transportation for students and passengers. This role involves driving various types of vehicles, including school buses and vans, while ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers. The Bus Driver will also play an essential role in educating passengers about safety protocols and maintaining a positive environment during transit. This will be for Summer Camp from June 2nd- August 1st.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with students, and staff regarding schedules, routes, and safety procedures.
- Educate passengers on safety rules and emergency procedures to ensure a secure travel experience.
- Assist children with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior.
- Report any mechanical issues or concerns with the vehicle promptly to management.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in school bus driving is preferred.
- Previous experience in childcare or working with children is highly desirable.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs or troubleshooting as needed.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive attitude while on duty.
